Museo della Pagliazza
Re-branding Concept

A piece
of history
Museo della Pagliazza, is a museum located in the basement of the oldest tower in Florence. It showcases a historic collection of excavated Italian ceramics, some of them dating back to the Roman era. The concept of this identity, revolves around these fragmented pieces of ceramic, combined with the location of the museum — basement of the tower, under the Brunelleschi Hotel, that owns this museum. The branding comprises of a variable logo system, where each unit imitates the shapes of broken ceramic shards. This style further lends itself to the visual language as well.
This project was created at IED Firenze.
